The heart of Liquid Gold, Seabuckthorn, was known for centuries in many northern areas (such as Mongolia, Siberia, Tibet and Scandinavia) as a skin care remedy and nutritional supplement with restorative activity. The berries of this shrub are rich in vitamins and nutrients and have always been associated with regeneration. Thus, Seabuckthorn has traditionally been utilized to promote the healing of skin injuries. The oil of the berries helps combat skin dryness, visible fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging. Their vitamin content is much higher than any other cultivated fruit or vegetable and, in fact, the yellow-orange berries contain more than 100 different nutrients, bioactive substances including phytosterols, water soluble vitamins (such as B1, B2, C, P, Folic acid and K) and oil soluble vitamins such as A and E, EFA (80-95% essential fatty acids), free amino acids, alpha and beta carotenes, Lycopene, and Zeaxanthin all of which contribute to the rich golden orange color of the berries and the oil itself. Hence the name Liquid Gold commemorating both the primary ingredient and the inspiration behind this product line.
Use:
Apply directly to dry skin areas, under makeup or add a touch over your foundation to add glamour to your appearance. Before retiring, gently remove with a facial makeup remover or a moist tissue.
